Loved the kitten and dog around and literally 2 second walk to the bluest ocean! Staff were also amazing! Especially the guy at check in (im so sorry i forgot your name). He helped me out so much, as a solo traveller you cant be too careful with walking alone at night etc..made me feel right at home and give me tips about where to go, local prices and helped me to find a taxi when needed. I wasnt feeling well the second day and my lift to stonetown wasnt until late so they let me check out at 3 with only a small fee. Amazinf staff, wish i had more time!!

The hotel is in a wonderful location. the coast is easily accessible, the view is beautiful. The rooms have a sea view, the service is perfect and the swimming facilities in the outdoor pools are very good. The choice of restaurant is plentiful, as is the service and selection of the bar as well.

I spent 5 days at Blue Oyster together with my partner and without exaggeration everything was perfect. The location, the room, the beach, the hotel staff and above all the food. The food was truly exceptional and the most pleasant surprise. The grilled octopus on the lunch menu is to die for. If I ever make it back to Zanzibar, I will be going back to Blue Oyster. I also deeply appreciated their commitment to responsible tourism from minimizing plastic bottle waste and food waste, to using solar power for shower water heaters and appearing to actually care about and invest in staff well-being and the surrounding community. This was one of the reasons I chose Blue Oyster to begin work and I was not disappointed with the choice.

We were upgraded to the Mawingu villa which was incredible! We had no reason to leave our villa which had a beautiful outdoor lounge looking out on the beach, a plunge pool, waterfall shower, and plenty of space. The architecture/design was very pleasant. We had amazing service from our dedicated staff member Mambo who organized our meals/space and always added a special touch. The food was phenomenal both healthy and delicious; we continuously looked forward to the next meal which was all covered in the package. They provided a list of additional activities and management went out of their way to help us plan a special day that worked for us; we enjoyed snorkeling, massages, and a sunset cruise. Once you consider everything provided in the package, we felt we received good value. Highly recommend!

The lodge was the perfect size and not overcrowded like you’ll find on the resorts. I’m not exaggerating when I say this, the food was FANTASTIC! All the seafood and veggies are sourced from local fishermen and farms. The pool is perfect and overlooks the Indian Ocean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely, 4 night stay at Fun Beach Hotel. The staff was extremely nice, the food was amazing, the location is just perfect, Jambiani is walkable, Paje is 5 minutes by car. The beach is beautiful, safe and clean, the pool areas are comfortable and spacious. We loved Rachel and her amazing smile:) Kisses from Hungary.
