Lost for words to be able to describe our stay at this hotel and do it justice. It's like being in the movie. Back to good old times of true glamor, style and comfort. It's like staying at fabulous palace and being able to actually touch and use the furniture and being pamperd by the staff. Living history with comfort of the modern times. Friendly and accomodating staff. Great food and drinks. Fabulous bar area in the lobby (with live music in the evening) Fantastic pool area outside with a pleasant bar. Impressive Spa facilities with second pool and complimetary healthy little snacks and drinks. Complimentary bottle of Prosseco (at each of our rooms) upon arrival, because it was a birthday of my wife. And last, but definitely not least the view we've had over the Lago Maggiore and the Borromee islands.

The Lago Maggiore remains one of the most unsettling places in Europe. Isola Bella stands as a jewel of architecture, dreamlike, suspended, half-composed of hanging gardens illuminated by roses and blue peacocks. Imagine being able to contemplate Borromean islands, all different, historical but alive (‘neither quite the same nor quite another’, as Paul Verlaine wrote) emerging from a silvery lake, from an Olympian height, embracing the surrounding mountains with a single glance. Welcome. Sylvia, your host, perfectly organized and gently methodical, has a logical answer to each of your questions (even before your arrival). The gate opens, your car slowly drives down a gravel driveway, shaded by century-old trees, and the house appears, poised, facing a breathtaking scenery. The architectural terrace, overhanging, offers you this incredible view that you can enjoy from different perspectives, sitting on a bench, or in armchairs, hammocks or smiling blissfully in the modern outdoor jacuzzi. All the facilities are top of the line and explained by Sylvia in detail upon your arrival. Like on a ‘Carte du Tendre’, you can pick shady or sunny spots, isolated or close by, but always carefully thought out. The private wellness room on the ground floor includes all instruments and accessories: saunas, tropical showers, elliptical bike, massage chairs, etc. Later, going up to the small perched space that is dedicated to you (as long as you want to spend an exceptional moment, put the cursor at the maximum), you will find yourself in the middle of the vegetation, still enjoying the view, grandiose, from a small chalet, in a bright space optimized with taste. A fire in the wood stove, two flutes of Prosecco and gentle music will follow. A house designed by an Italian composer in a heavenly garden, pointing at the Borromean Islands with your loved one … if you’re romantic, what are you waiting for? Michel et Carine.

This hotel is amazing! The room was very beautiful decorated and the mountain view was very nice also! I loved how comfy the bed was and also the sheets! The breakfast is fantastic! And the view from the breakfast room is breath taking. Moreover, the hotel facilities are very varied… there is literally nothing more one can wish! I trully recommend this hotel!
