Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Homeless people were coming to the smoking area bumming cigarettes every day. Having to pay for parking. We also had to park in an off site parking garage because we were told that our Jeep Grand Cherokee would not fit in the Riu parking garage.
The breakfast was great as well as the location. We were able to walk to most places.

Smallish bathroom area compared to others but that made fir a spacious bedroom area.
Great location, we are returning customers having stayed here before. Super comfortable beds.

The hotel was good. I was a little disappointed that there is no microwave or ice bucket or coffee maker in the room.
Abdul the porter was excellent. He helped us so much , was polite and friendly and went above and beyond

Parking is quite expensive for guests.
Everything was as advertised. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was phenomenal. I've never had such a great buffet breakfast at the hotel.

The sleeping bed is too soft. If can provide water in the room is much better.
Location is great, room is big and clean, anyway parking is not related to us. Public transport location is very near and good.

Guests from outside can't come to breakfast, they made absolutely no exception.
The best breakfast we had on our trip along the west coast! There are many options for vegetarians too!

The bed was a little soft for me but not a deal breaker. The shower was okay, again not a deal breaker, but not great. The bathroom and toilet, however, were very clean.
As a local who has been away for many years, it was great to be back in the old haunts. If you’d like to walk, especially in San Francisco you can’t have a better location. Fort Mason, the Marina, Fishermans, Wharf, North Beach, and Coit Tower are all in proximity of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and I would give it a 10 based on variety, freshness, and service.

Hard to get clarity on what is in the area , parking price was a shocker, loud hallway noise waking us at night and morning

This is for other travelers with a vehicle as a "heads up" only. The entrance is a bit tricky to find as it seems like you are driving into an alley and it isn't very obvious on google maps. We drove around the hotel until we figured out we were supposed to drive into what looked like an alley way. Not a big deal but would be trickier in the dark.
Location of hotel was fabulous to walk everywhere. We came with a rental vehicle and I liked that you could park underground as part of the hotel. Parking is expensive in San Francisco (you need to pay extra) but I was happy not to have to worry about the car. The breakfasts were amazing (exceeded expectations), the staff were well organized. Given the amount of people in for breakfast, the staff was like a well oiled machine. I would definitely stay here again!

Ideally located to explore the San Francisco Bay with many tourist activities nearby. Quiet neighborhood. Very good continental breakfast. Attentive service with parking (but it is paid and quite expensive). A decent conference hotel

Breakfast was very busy and chaotic regardless of what time you went in to get it. Socket in room didn't work properly even after maintenance man looked at it.
Clean hotel in a great location. Nice pool area. Lovely reception area. Very pleased with this hotel. Stayed in it 7?yrs ago and was just as good then.

I only stayed one night but I imagine parking can get pretty expensive at $60 a night.
The entire hotel was impressively clean and comfortable. The breakfast was big with a lot of options and they staff was great.
