To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

CanadaWe arrived at 8 pm at the airport and went to get the shuttle at terminal C. We waited at least 45 minutes for the shuttle to your hotel and no one informed us that the shuttle didn’t come to C at that time of the evening. It was frustrating not to have information about your shuttle service as that was one of the reasons we chose to slept overnight at your hotel. It would be helpful to have that information we we confirmed our booking with you

I liked the room size, how clean the bathtub was, and the reception was so pretty with the fireplace and at outside patio they had pretty hanging lights. :)

It was very near the airport (but the free shuttle stopped running right as my flight landed. I paid $55 for a taxi to go the 2 miles. I did take the shuttle the next morning to get back for a connecting flight. The driver was nice and the shuttle on time BUT the seats were so dirty and stained I hated to sit in them. The breakfast was adequate.
