Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

When checking in although I paid for 2 rooms only one was given. I had to go back to claim the second room. They were across from each other in the same building.

The initial room was dirty, there was a hole in the wall, the floor was dirty with stains, the comforter was dirty, there were dead bugs on the floor, the bathroom tub had a ring around it. The second room was cleaner but there was a gap in the door which gave access to bugs.

Seemed a bit sketchy with sketchy clientele .. someone knocked on my front door incessantly at 1230am but I was too scared to open Also had to wait over an hour at airport for the shuttle even tho I called the front desk several times

The floors in both bathroom and hotel room were not clean. Optically clean but the corners were dirty. Unfortunately I didn’t take a picture. Bedlinnen and bath towels were clean and neat. Pool was closed? Once you arrive at the airport you have to call them for the shuttle. I tried but didn’t get reach them. Took a taxi to get to them. They should know that if you are a foreigner you don’t have a USA sim especially if you have just 1 overnight. Nothing to do in the neighborhood.
Very very basic. The room was not clean and it’s worn out. I’ve traveled to many countries in the world and for US70 per night you get better accommodation. USA is overpriced for what you actually get.

No working elevator, the first room I was in a/c didn’t work and there was no hot water. My daughter’s room a/c did not work, when I booked her room it said she will have a microwave & and mini refrigerator which it did not. The pool was closed

pool was closed, i requested early check in since i got off from the cruise but was denied. waited in the lobby 4 1/2 hours. charged for almost $200 a night when the pool was closed but was offered to go swim at comfort inn.
i liked the landscape near the pool. Subway connected to the hotel

Extremely tired property, probably worse I’ve ever stayed at when visiting the USA. Bed sinks into the middle. NO LIFTs.

The manager was rude over the phone to a guest in front of me. That guest had all his belongings missing when he returned back to his room and the manager could not help him because she needed to sleep. She didn’t want the guest to speak this housekeeping but she would not help find his belongings. She insisted that he must wait until 10:00 am that she would start her work day. All of the gentleman’s frustration didn’t mean anything to this female manager that was raising her voice every time guest asked for an explanation of why his things had been taken out off his room. Another guest could not open his door with his key and was having to wait for this long discussion in the phones to be over. The third guest ahead of me was upset because when he arrived to his room their were people in bed sleeping. He had been given an occupied room. This guest also was frustrated because the desk host continued answering the phone and on the computer assisting the callers while we had to wait for problems to be solved. I was standing for about 30 minutes in line to check in. All I could think was that I had mad a mistake booking with you. I finally told the host to put all his calls on hold and take care of us. I wont be staying here again.

the night staff was extremely slow, was not helpful on the phone and when I arrived it took him forever to assist each person. I arrived at 12am and didn't get into my room until almost 1am. Very old property, no very nice.
