Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBit rustic and strange design choices but wasn’t expecting luxury, exactly what we needed! Pool was not heated but I imagine in the middle of summer it doesn’t need it. No bar/anywhere to buy drinks but allowed to bring drinks around the pool and bar next door to get drinks.
Very cute! As pretty as the photos show. Lovely room, bit rustic but no complaints, clean and tidy. Breakfast was amazing, massive choice and all very tasty! Pool areas were clean, tidy and pretty! It’s a small, charming bed and breakfast, doesn’t have a huge amount of facilities but what they do, they do very well!!!! Staff were so helpful, great restaurant recommendations! Great location just outside the old town and close to the beach!

United States of AmericaThere was nothing that we didn't like.
The property is nestled in a perfect location for taking advantage of the hiking trails along with the breathtaking views off the cliffs. The amenities and decor within the property add to the private, tranquil, and romantic ambience. Make sure to include breakfast as part of your stay. The staff prepares and displays a myriad of savory brunch items that will impress any guest.

United States of AmericaNot a thing. Other that it was a 15-20 minute walk or very short car ride to Old Town Lagos , it was perfect. I really don’t know what else we could have asked for.
The room was spacious, very well decorated and excellent location in the small gated complex. The bathroom was wonderful. Very large shower, double sinks, luxurious towels and bath robes. The breakfast served every morning was nothing short of spectacular, with an entire selection of delectable goodies both hot and cold. Coffee just about any way you want it and freshly squeezed orange juice, what more could you ask for? Beautiful outdoor common area with two very nice pools.

United States of AmericaThe little refrigerator did not work. I was told that it is just a mini-bar, but there was not a bit of chilling. The A/C also didn’t seem to work (blew hot air), although it got cool enough at night without it.
Breakfast is outstanding and the room was large and spacious. Location is nice for walking out to Ponta da Piedade. Very quiet.

This hotel is a gem if you are staying in Lagos. It is opposite the walkway to the beach and to the lighthouse and the gorgeous coastal walks and it is an easy walk into the old town. Our bed was the most comfortable of our 5 week trip. The room (5) was spacious and airy with lots of windows and a great balcony framed in Bougainvillea and catching the sun all day. The pool area and gardens were great. The breakfast was excellent as were the helpful staff.

EstoniaDoor knob was loose. Curtains were loose. The room felt a little rigid, lacking cosiness. The placement of furniture felt unnatural? Sunbeds could’ve been cleaner.
Breakfast was indeed perfect. The only thing i personally missed was plant-based milk for coffee for my lactose intolerance. Friendly staff.

United KingdomIf you're not keen on walking you might find the 15/20 minute walk into Lagos centre a bit much particularly if as it was during our stay very warm. Having said that there is a very very good, I'd go as far as saying excellent Indian restaurant about 7 minutes walk away next to a Kebab takeaway. There is also an excellent fish restaurant on the road leading to the lighthouse.
Absolutely the best breakfast spread ever. Room was large and well presented. The room was clean and the bed both large and comfortable. The bathroom had a very good shower. The room came with a coffee maker and a small mini fridge this is important as the hotel has no bar of its own. However there is a bar next to the hotel and a small mini Market about 50 metres down the road.

United States of AmericaThe surround area with the very large rundown hotel near by made us question if it was a safe area. But it was very safe. Not sure why they don’t knock that structure down.
The breakfast was excelent. The grounds and patio area were beautiful. Nice size rooms. Walk to the beach.

CanadaThe parking situation was confusing at first. This was quickly addressed and was never a problem. The street parking can be found on the street left to the reception entrance and had plenty of space.
The staff were excellent and maintained the property very well. The apartments feel private and the decor is calming. We had to check out early and the cooks provided a packed lunch and delivered it to our room. The receptionist has lots of resources on things to do in the area. She also provided us a map of the area and gave us advice on parking around town. The breakfast was gourmet compared to staying at a hotel (they made an amazing tomato jam that I hope they continue to make!).
