Excellent a home from home lovely shepherd hut would definately stay here again

We loved the shepherds hut, the little wooden mice throughout were a little delight. The decor was lovely. The patio area was nice and private. The bed was comfy. We both can’t rave enough about the facilities available! Staff were friendly and helpful. The fishing lake was great and my first time properly pond fishing did not disappoint, catching my first carp and many other types of fish.

Has to pay extra for fishing. Would be nice if it was free while staying in the huts.

The hut was beautiful and clean, well stocked with everything you would need. The welcome pack was very informative in giving instructions on everything including looking for the mouse house.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

A short drive from Thirsk, a lovely market town with oodles of history. Ripon is in the other direction and Northallerton is also a short drive. So a brilliant central base for all sorts of places

The shepherds huts were absolutely beautiful. Lots of thoughtful and special little touches. Fantastic location, so peaceful and relaxing and fishing on tap for my partner too. He was over the moon!

Cosy, tastefully decorated, perfect for dogs. Plenty information provided before arrival. Decent sized shower with hot water.

Nothing!

Lovely place to stay as a couple with our dog, so cosy and pretty! Places close by for walks and there is a pub just down the road that is also dog friendly.

By their nature, shepherds huts have limited space. Although everything was v well furnished (see above) there were just too many cushions, soft toys, gewgaws and ornaments around. In the end these took up shelf space and got in the way. Less is more...

Very well kept grounds. Attention to details by owners made sure that we were comfortable. The quality of the build, furniture and soft furnishings were exceptional. Everything worked. We were left in peace.

TV didn;t work, though this might have been due to the recent mast fire. We didn't miss it but if we had stayed longer we would have wanted to use it. The wooden work surfaces are lovely but impractical because of risk of staining them. Ice compartment in the fridge would have been helpful Information was a bit confusing, it said we would have to pay for bedding etc but when we arrived it was all provided so we needn't have packed so much.

Bed was a but ‘firm’ for us … but this is not a criticism as it may be just right for someone else.

The hut was tastefully designed with lots of attention to detail. Location was perfect gorgeous views. Lovely little private patio area with BBQ which we used … table and chairs where we ate all our meals as the weather was glorious. Would definitely recommend and will probably come back ourselves

Accommodation dirty, filthy soiled bedding urine, semun faeces soiled mattress and duvet and pillow absolutely disgusting
