Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe Bathroom was way too small. The shower was hard to work out and sprayed the toilet when it was on. The toilet so close to the wall you bumped your head on the towel rail when you stood up!! This was the only thing that we could complain about.

PhilippinesRoom was an internal room, so no outside window (just an inner light well). For me this is quite disconcerting. The breakfast is in a restaurant chain next door so I decided to skip this to do my own thing. The lift as usual in London is very small and juddery.
My second stay at this hotel and it represents superb value and great location, right next door to Paddington Station. The room was more than comfortable - huge for London really. The hotel gives thoughtful little touches such as complimentary chocolates and drinks in the room. Overall excellent value and stay. Thanks once again.

BrazilMaintenance needs improvement. It took two days for fixing the shower door. The air conditioned broke on my second day of stay and it wasn't fixed. They haven't change me for another room, but they arranged a fan, which took two days to get it. I could see that there was a communication issue between the staff and the management.
The location is very convenient and gives lots of alternatives for food & drinks, as well as to move around. Breakfast is good, but I would suggest adding a coulple of different fruits instead of banana, orange and apple, e.g, pineaple and peach, and some natural juices. I would like to praise the receptionist Paris, always attentive and polite.

We booked a Friday night at very short notice due to rail strikes taking place in April 2024. Right next to Paddington and not too noisy considering the location and the Tube running. A great starting point if you are arriving in London for the first time from a long journey, want to touch down and recharge. Very pleasant Front of House and Reception staff. Frankie & Benny's for Breakfast - if you want a fry up and nothing too special, it's good vfm and the staff were very engaging.
