How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

They charged the breakfast more than 11,..€ that they have written in a card (9..€)which is given to every guest while check in. If the price have been increased/changed they are not allowed to distribute those old cards which was a huge bundle of pile at the reception. As well as the breakfast was not worth for 11€ The lobby is quite small for so many guests.
Good location not far from central Train/Bus Station. They have renovated the hostel so it seems better than before. The coffee machine at the entrance and new beds as well as free towels were great. The sky bar on the top is also a nice place to hang out with other guests.

The room had very few electric plugs, only 2-3 for 8 people. The beds do not have personal lightbulbs and electric plugs. My phone's flashlight does not work so it was very hard for me to navigate in the darkness.
There is digital self-check-in, which was really nice. The breakfast was OK. The location is alright.

Lack of charging ports for each bed. There were only 2 sockets in the room (there seemed to be some in the hallway in front of the bathroom, but they didn’t work). Some USB ports on the first floor in the common hall also did not work. It would be nice to have a small separate lighting for each sleeping area so as not to disturb the neighbors. The bathroom smelled awfully musty. The smell spread throughout the room. Although the windows were open for ventilation, this did not help much. It looks like it needs treatment with special means and an improvement in the ventilation system.
The staff was very fast and friendly (it was nice blond hair girl), she helped me with all questions. You have opportunity to leave your luggage in the special room for free before checking and after checkout. Little tip: you can take your own padlock cause there are storages in the room (I didn’t know that). Also there is an opportunity to leave your valuables like technique on reception if you want. Location is also good: it is around 20 minutes walk from main railway station. I also didn’t have some problems with the Wi-Fi, it was okay. The room was for 8 people. There is modern furniture inside I was even surprised because of that. I was lucky with my neighbors, they had respect to each other. The shits and towel were clean. Overall I had a pleasant experience. It was only one night.

The internet fluctuates at times. The usb bed sockets are worn out and often don’t work and there are too many people coming in and out that you feel you’re staying with strangers the whole time.
Great location next to the main train and bus stations. The facilities are adequate and comfortable. They have an in house bar on the fifth floor. The common area at reception is petite

The room needs more ventilation. There should be curtains in the bed for some privacy. It would be better if there were power sockets near the bed.

we booked on booking and it wasn’t clear that the room were mixed unless you book a specific room and we felt very unpleasantly surprised when at midnight we woke up seeing two old men entering the room… we are a group of three young girls and we would have never booked a mixed room if it were explained better on the website. also when we asked the receptionist for some explanation, she gave us none.
we liked the fact that there were a couple of areas dedicated to young people, the position of the Hostel near the centre and the fact that you could do the check-in on your own at every hour

The TV in both rooms we were staying was not working and the pancake maker never seems to work in that hotel.
We had to extend our stay by one day and the staff was great in making this convinient for us (especially the lady in charge of the housekeeping). The Check-In went smoothly and the rooms were spacious and clean.

I think they should do an age category or estimated wake up time category, since i was in a room with 3 ladies above 60, it was hard to come back late night without them being annoyed. It was hard to continue sleeping after they wake up ( 6 am ) and open the windows are curtains
The room is big, the location is not very bad, some staff are very kind (the guy from ukraine) some of them are very mean. Everyone gathers in the lobby for a coffee
