The food was very inexpensive and we got a LOT for the price. We couldn't finish our meals 75% of the time. There is a trail at the resort you can hike, 10min hike or 25min hike, depending on which way you take, but this hike will lead you to 2 beautiful waterfalls that you MUST experience. My husband and I are not fit people but we were able to enjoy the hike and waterfalls. The resort also offers excursions, we did the ATV tour and I can't even begin to explain how amazing it was. It was a "you only live once" experience. Seeing the views from the top of the mountains was breathtaking. We hiked (10-15mins) to the tallest waterfall and the tour guides took pictures of us in the waterfall. Drove to the next waterfall location where the guides convinced us to jump off a cliff into the waterfall and it was AWESOME! Everything about our visit to Oxygen Jungle Villas turned out trip that started off horrible when we landed in San Jose, into an amazing experience that changed our minds from "we will NEVER come back to Costa Rica" to "we will DEFINITELY be back to Uvita, Costa Rica!"

Set in Pavones, 2.1 km from Playa Pavones, La Ponderosa offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. Very nice small resort! Beautiful garden, excellent swimming pool. 1 minute to the beach to walk and watch sunset. Owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, we did not want to leave this wonderful place.
