This was the second time I was staying at Fitzcarrald, after we finished our stay at the Amazon lodge. Again the hotel was quiet from the motor noise at night. The hotel manager spoke good English, was highly reliable and responsive and was always ready to help. The transportation from and to the airport the manager arranged was punctual and reasonably priced. Again the hotel is very clean. The breakfast was prepared fresh on the spot and served to our table by the kitchen staff who added greatly to the hotel. I personally would recommend Fitzcarrald hotel to Amazon visitors like us.

The food is prepared beautifully, though the chicken is much better than the beef. The daily trips through the jungle, on the river, bird watching, fishing, visits to local villages, dolphin watching, stargazing were ALL fantastic and made the trip, well worth the inconveniences.

Rooms are very spacious, queen bed and most importantly with AC. Pharmacies and the supermarket Portales are just 1 block away. They are very flexible with the bookings and, in my case, due to a flight delayed, they allowed us to change the dates of the booking in a very attentive way.
