The Golden Frog Inn has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Valle de Anton. The gardens are just so beautiful and lush. We loved the pool area and also did the small hike up the hill just behind the hotel to take in the beautiful scenery. The restaurant has very good food and also the cocktails are amazing. We arrived on the bus, so we took a cab when we wanted to go into town. Would have loved to stay a bit longer and maybe splash out and book one of the poolside rooms that have hammocks and little patios. Also El Valle has plenty to do, so three nights went by too quickly!

Just one block off of the main strip in El Valle, it’s lovely and much quieter, but still walking distance to the butterfly sanctuary, the geothermal springs, and the downtown restaurants and shops. Cute little pool in the back, hammocks all over, and a yard that has a bunch of spots to sit and chill or order food/drinks- it was a fantastic place to stay!

I have traveled a lot in the world and I have never felt so immediately welcome . Tony and his family made sure we had a good time. Property is immaculate and the food is sooo good. Five stars everyone!

Refugio Cariguana has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Valle de Anton. The hotel features both free WiFi and free private parking. Very charming and tucked away. The grounds were well cared for and the staff were very friendly and attentive. It felt like a weekend with friends! Breakfast was good and relaxing in the hammock in the evening and morning was incredibly relaxing.

Perfectly located, beautiful and very relaxing common areas that allow unlimited use of outdoor space, even during rain showers. Very secure, clean, and functional accommodations. Staff was vigilant to any needs, and was quick to open the parking lot security gate even at 4 AM to let us out to do a hike in darkness up to the volcano rim.
