Residence Hotel Takayama Station is situated conveniently in the centre of Takayama, and offers a fitness centre, free WiFi and a terrace. This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space. Location is excellent: right outside of Takayama station! There are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and you can walk to Takayama Old Town. They allowed us to use their natural hot spring at their other hotel, so you should definitely check it out! The room is big and beautiful with an excellent view. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Everything was great. I'd absolutely stay here again and again. The staff was not fluent in English but they were very helpful and used a translating app to speak to us. The room was clean, breakfast was great, the sauna and hot springs (2 large bath tubs) were amazing as well. 5 Stars.

Ideally set in the centre of Takayama, THE MACHIYA HOTEL TAKAYAMA features air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. The staffs over there were exceedingly nice and helpful, they helped me to recover the thing I left on the train. Also, everything is in pleasant walking distance.

Ideally situated in Takayama, eph TAKAYAMA features a continental breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space. The location is amazing - 2 minutes walking from the train station and 5-10 minutes walking from Takayama's main attractions. The hotel is really small and cozy, overlooking a pedestrian street. The staff was really nice, spoke good English and helped us book a restaurant for dinner when everything around seemed to be already booked. We stayed in Takayama during the spring festival and the town was really busy with tourist. Because of that the price seemed a little higher but the hotel really delivered. The room was big, comfortable, modern. The beds were great for resting. The bathroom was wooden (nice touch) really well decorated and sparkling clean. We had various amenities at our disposal and comfy pajamas. The breakfast was nice - western style although we were expecting to have something Japanese which was a bit disappointing but it was prepared in front of us and was tasty and fresh. It was rainy during our stay and the hotel supplied free umbrellas. Overall we are super happy with our stay here!

Ideally located in the Hida Takayama Onsen district of Takayama, Relax Hotel Takayama Station is set 2.3 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village, 48 km from Gero Station and 700 metres from Fuji Folk... A great location, a short walk from both the train station and the old town. The room was a great size, well equiped, comfy beds and very clean. The staff were helpful and we enjoyed the complimentary sake.

Featuring a bar, Mercure Hida Takayama is set in the centre of Takayama, 200 metres from Takayama Station. This hotel ticks all the boxes - easily 10/10. A short walk to the main station and a very central location. We were able to fortunately check in 1h early after a long and early journey without additional surcharge, unlike what is common with other hotels now. The yukata provided in room were very luxurious and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The room was spacious by Japanese standards. I will keep an eye out for this chain hotel’s other locations in the future.

Exceptional views from just outside the building of Gifu mountains, and the rooms themselves are very well-equiped and comfy, considering the price! Also, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I could check-in without a physical passport (as I didn't have it at the time), and helped me check-in just with a picture I had of it.

The rooms were comfortable and well-ventilated (air conditioning and heating), and there was an excellent buffet breakfast served from 6.30-9am. The breakfast spread is very good for the price. The breakfast room is also roomy compared to other business hotels. The cost of accommodation is very cheap considering the location. JR line users have to walk 10-11 minutes from the station but the hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the Meitetsu Gifu station.

We got a traditional room and we loved it ❤️ the dinner was amazing, we were so full we couldn't move. It was our first time trying japanese multi-course traditional dinner and breakfast, and the lady serving us didn't speak English, so it was kinda difficult for us 😅. Still an amazing experience though. Loved the Onsen, also our first time trying that. The bus goes from Takayama right in front of the hotel, if it goes to bear park,it's a 10 minute walk downhill. I hope we'll visit again some day.
