Matteo, one of the owners and manager is a very charming host with the most pleasant personality who is always ready to help and answer any questions you may have, always with a big smile on his face. Definitely staying at La Dama sem Porto was the highlight of our trip. And, by the way, we fell in love with the town of Cerro. Easy access to everywhere around and across the lake.

Having stayed in numerous hotels around the world, I can confidently say that I have never come across such an extraordinary level of service: 1. Geographically, it is situated in a breathtakingly green and beautiful area right next to a large lake (lake major). This location makes it an undeniable oasis of relaxation, and it also offers easy access to the islands in the lake. 2. The hotel itself boasts impeccably maintained green spaces that are truly exemplary. Every photo I took could easily be framed and displayed on a wall. My room was exceptionally beautiful, and when I opened the window, I was greeted with a scene that can only be described as a living and dynamic masterpiece of beauty. 3. While the hotel may not be a modern building, its Italian identity adds a delightful charm to the overall experience. I was glad that it wasn't modern because it allowed me to feel the authenticity of an Italian family-run business. 4. The hotel manager, fluent in English and French languages, (I don't know whether he likes to mention his name here or not) can only be described as an angel. I have never encountered such exceptional service in any of my previous trips. Not only did the staff adhere to all hotel etiquette, but the hotel manager also provided unwavering support in every situation that arose, treating me like a close friend. They went above and beyond, from giving a ride and providing me with printed maps for train routes to lending me a jacket on a cold day. Such unique and extraordinary hospitality is something I had never witnessed or heard of before.

Located in the Val Grande National Park, Garni Viggiona offers free Wi-Fi and spacious rooms with wooden furnishings. I am travelling often and was myself in the travelbusiness for many years. This little place of Jean-Carlo and his family is unique and a secret tipp, i loved my stay very much. It is family runn and you feel a great hospitality and very welcome. Pets are welcome also. The rooms are perfectly clean with a nice view and garden in front, the in the price included breakfast is amazing and you get served on table with many home made delicatesses like cheese and cake. Next to the place is a very nice italian Restaurant for dinner and the rooms also do have a fridge and teamaker. There is free parking and the location is great, many hiking routes and beautiful views. Also to mention is the free late check out, which was very helpful. Thank you so much Jean-Carlo and Erika for this memorable stay and your hospitality. We like definitely to come back.

Perfect location, I received a video with explicit instructions on how to access the hotel and the response from the staff was prompt. There was complimentary drinking water, which I find very important, as you never know at what time you will arrive; water is always needed! The room had also a lazy boy chair with massage!!!

We loved our stay! The two pools to choose from (one lakeside, one rooftop adults only) were a real highlight, both with lovely attentive bar staff and a good lunch menu. Amazing breakfast buffet. Great location - a 10 minute walk from the train station, and 10 minute walk along the lake to the main restaurants. Our room was pretty standard hotel style but we spent very little time in it - comfy bed and clean bathroom. Would go back in a heartbeat!!

Even the mountain view was beautiful. Listening to the church bells ring in the morning from the cozy balcony was priceless! The pool was amazing. All the staff was friendly and everything was very clean. The water promenade was right across the street and so nice to walk along. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a wonderful experience in Stresa!

Hotel is located on the lake (with private lake access) which means beautiful scenery and lots of options for a new ‘profile picture’ :-) Rooms are big and clean, staff is extremely friendly and breakfast had variety of options, including fresh orange juice, eggs, vegetables and pancakes. Had a excellent few days here and it was perfect for what we wanted. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and really set a positive tone to start your stay. We stayed in a mobile home which perfect for what we needed and the porch area outside was great for sitting out in the evening. The on-site restaurant served great food at reasonable prices, we used it for two events and weren’t disappointed. The two beaches that are available for use by the lake were really nice. Offered easy access to the water for a swim and was a nice area to relax. The views from the beaches were beautiful and the water really clean. 20/25 minute walk from the main train station in Dormelletto and a bus stop right outside the camp. Trains go further north up to Stresa, bus goes to Arona but can get connections from there. Supermarket next to the camp as well. Are car could be useful but we didn’t need one
