All new carpets, wall decor, doors, bathrooms, every attention to detail was made. Michael, the bar/inn manager was so friendly and welcoming. He helped us decide on food for dinner and was very warm. Inn was perfectly located in town, easy walk to shops, coffee, and both the Abbey and Castle, which we were excited to see.

Amazing atmosphere, scenic view, beautiful and clean room, comfortable bed. The staff is very welcoming. Great food at the hotel's restaurant.

Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Shamrock Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel located in the very centre of Ireland, just 5 minutes’ walk from the restaurants, bars, and nightlife of Athlone town... The rooms looked just like in the pictures, the beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were nice and clean - only the stone plate on the sink was not good levelled, so the water was always running down on the right-hand side, when washing hands. And a handheld shower would have been nicer than a stationary one. But that really were only minor issues. The rooms had a view over the gardens, which was very nice and quiet. The hotel, the entrance, the breakfast room and the bar were really nice and we really felt comfortable. We can understand, why this hotel is a good venue for wedding celebrations. The hotel even has lifts, so you don't have to carry your luggage up the stairs (not something every hotel has in Ireland) and a vending machine for mineral water and other things. And last but not least the staff was really friendly, helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay there very much and would choose the hotel again when we were in the area.

In Athlone's lively centre, this 4-star Sheraton Hotel has a 20-metre pool, a luxury spa, free internet and free parking. The room was brilliant! Spacious, modern and a great 180 dergree view. The hotel lobby was very cool with a business feel about it. Reception staff were very helpful and attentive.

Nestled in Monksland, a residential suburb of Athlone town, The Athlone Springs Hotel is less than a 6-minute drive from Athlone town centre. I got upgraded to a Bridal Suite Room for no reason & it made my night! Was very special & a real treat for me so thank you so very very much to the lovely lady at the check in desk!

This 4-star hotel has a Championship golf course and is 5 miles from Athlone. All newly reformed rooms at the Glasson Lakehouse have free Wi-Fi, TVs and a room service menu. The style, design, and comfortable resort is first rate. We loved the different areas to relax or explore: beautiful golf course, outdoor living room styled bar, cute pub, plus gorgeous countryside walks.
