The location was ideal as I was seeking something more relaxing. You do need to walk or take a tuk tuk to get up to the property from the boat dock. The bed in the dorm was very comfortable, the facilities clean and welcoming, and the staff was always helpful. The food was delicious and well-priced. I felt very comfortable during my stay there.

He was extremely accommodating, coordinated a couple of tours for us at great prices, and was overall super pleasant to work and chat with. Would definitely stay again.

From the staff, to the grounds, to the food and the service, this hotel was the most wonderful place. My fiancée asked me to marry him there and there genuinely would not have been a more special surrounding. Astrid was also amazing as were all the staff we interacted with. Thank you for an amazing stay!

We absolutely loved our experience here and after doing a lot of research believe it may be the nicest property on the entire lake. Facilities were beautiful with stunning views from the rooms and infinity pool. Staff were world-class, always smiling, energetic, friendly, and ready to say yes. They truly went above and beyond. Bartender Cristian is the best! Our upgraded room was spectacular and newly remodeled with a beautiful tub overlooking the lake. Breakfast, dinner, and drinks at the pool bar were all excellent. The hotel also arranged for a great couples massage, laundry service, and a private boat tour of the lake. Thanks so much and we will be back!!

Atitlan Villas feature rustic-style architecture, a swimming pool and hot tub overlooking the Atitlan lake. Built into the mountainside, it provides panoramic lake views. Mario and his staff were outstanding. They were attentive, caring and trust worthy. They made us feel as if we were guests in their private home. The secluded location and view of the lake/volcanos were spectacular and the large fluffy pool towels for cool evening dips into the jacuzzi were a bonus.

Panajachel has much to offer tourists. One can explore the town, head to Solola and check out the weekly Mercado, zipline, engage in water sports, or explore other towns around Lake Santiago Atitlan via boat. Food prices along the main street are relatively fair (~Q35 for a daily special) and the street vendors that come out at night definitely have better deals (typical Guatemalan food and fresh pupusas for ~Q5 and up, churrascos for Q20, etc.). There are a good deal of bars in the area as well.
