Situated outside the Sologne region, the hotel is located in the country of the Châteaux of the Loire Valley. This hotel has a cozy atmosphere, well located for visiting castles, and service was amazing. Cocktails and breakfast were worth the price. Their family room is great value. It’s a real 2 bedroom suite with a shared bathroom. This means that you get to keep your privacy but there is only one exit to the hallway. Your kids don’t have to go out to a public space to get to your room if they get scared at night. Kid friendly pool also a plus!

Friendly reception and the fastest check-in I've ever experienced. The rooms are small, typical of the city center, but perfectly adequate and very clean. Likewise the sanitary facilities. It is 300 meters through the old town to the banks of the Loire. An underground car park is 100 meters from the hotel.

Hôtel & Restaurant - L'Écu de Bretagne is situated in the quiet medieval village of Beaugency. It features an outdoor, heated swimming pool, and WiFi is free of charge in the entire property. This is a lovely hotel. The room was large, well equipped and very comfortable, the bathroom was modern and very clean. A small fridge in the room contained water and there were complementary biscuits. Quiet and peaceful. Free parking was available in the central courtyard. The restaurant was very good, as was the breakfast. Both the restaurant and the breakfast room were elegant. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Situated about halfway between Chambord and Orleans, it makes a very good base for visiting the chateaux in the area as well as Orleans and Clery-Saint-Andre. Highly recommended. The medieval town is also worth exploring.

We were here for one night only. Great location and walking distance to sites and restaurants. Beds were very comfortable and appreciated the AC as it has been warm the last few days. Much appreciated that the front desk spoke English and very accommodating with a map pointing out sites and areas to eat. We needed a bucket of ice and had that for us right away. Would stay again. Very pleased!

If you ever wanted to stay in a castle, this is the way to go. Excellent hotel in an old abbey right on the Loire River. NIce clean rooms, excellent breakfast with local products. We’ll definitely be back.

The small cabins/bungalows are smack in the middle of some beautiful nature. Loved the cozy wood structure of the little cabin where I stayed, perfect for a one night stay. Host was super nice and welcoming. Will stay again when I'm back in the area.
