Offering outdoor pool and a hot tub, Hotel Roca Negra Del Arenal is located in the suburbs of Fortuna. Free Wi-Fi access is available. We stayed here In February. Our brief stay was like being in Shangri-la, a utopian escape from the world. Hopefully visitors will take the time to just sit and watch and listen. Watch the clouds as they change shape over Arenal, notice and listen to the hummingbirds and other beautiful birds. There is also a small “farm” area with chickens, roosters, ducks and a gorgeous flamingo. Eggs are gathered each morning and left in the self-serve kitchen for breakfast. The kitchen is where you can get your morning coffee, make your own breakfast and meet other guests. There is a supermarket and many restaurants within walking distance if you choose not to drive. We were in #12, one of the beautiful newer casitas. When you arrive the friendly, welcoming staff - either Elizabeth or Eugenia - will greet you, show you where to park and take you on a tour. The property is secured with an electronic gate. There are walking trails on the grounds and clean walkways that lead to all the common areas. Children will love being able to be so close to farm animals. The property encompasses everything I love about Costa Rica…NATURE.

This was one of our favourite places to stay in Costa Rica. The breakfast was delicious and so fresh, the family who runs the business were so friendly and kind, and the rooms were so relaxing and comfortable. It is 20 mins from La Fortuna which didn’t both us as it was nice and quiet and we had our own car. The hot tub on the deck was one of our favourite parts to enjoy each evening and the bed was so comfortable. The pictures look outdated as the room was very modern. Also very clean. Highly highly recommend this place!!

Located in Alajuela, Hotel Pibi Boreal offers a garden. The property is set 3.1km from Plaza Real Alajuela and Alajuela Cathedral & central park 3,5km. The property is 10 km from Zoo Ave. We decided to stay overnight in San Jose before our flight home. Thus place exceeded our expectations. Everything was just perfect! The view is breathtaking, the room is super cozy and clean. The bathroom was superb. The hosts were super friendly and attentive to details. So happy with our stay.
