It looks like a little resort in the middle of Beatty, super close to Death Valley. Breakfast items are available at the lobby in the morning (restrictions apply, but still very generous, in my opinion). The pool and hot tub were great. The price is surprisingly reasonable for this location. It really exceeded my expectations.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The lady at the reception asked if we’re light sleepers and when I said I am, she gave us a room in the back, not facing the highway. Room was very clean, beds were comfortable. Each room seems to be designed in a different theme and also the reception area and hallway looks different than the standard motel that all have the same boring look. The low price was also a big plus and gave the impression that the owners are not as greedy as most of their fellow motel owners.

We’ve had an amazing stay! Both hotel owners were so kind and so helpful, they really made our stay extra special. They gave us a lot of good recommendations and even showed us around town. We are used to stay at higher end hotels, so the rooms are not big but it’s very clean and you’ve got everything you need. To be honest, we loved it just as much if not more because of the personal touch! Theres also a small store at the office which has plenty to offer. We would really recommend staying a night at Virginia city to get the full experience, and if you do stay at the Sugarloaf!

This is a family owned hotel - David and his wife are really nice hosts and gave us a quick overview of where to go sightseeing within the city. The room was brightly painted, clean, well designed. The bed was comfortable. There's a microwave and a fridge in the room.
