Very clean and modern little apartment. Well equipped. Great bed. Patio chairs to sit outside in the sunshine. Very quiet so great night’s sleep.

Mountain Chalets is just 5 minutes’ drive from Lake Ruataniwha. It features a barbecue area with outdoor seating and unlimited free WiFi. Free parking is available on site. Wonderful location (right in front of the lake!), amazing staff (Robin gave me awesome travelling advice and my road trip through NZ became ever better), great room (the shower pressure was superb, comfy beds and fully-equipped kitchen). Bonus: Tui spend the whole day singing nearby!

Situated in Fairlie, 28 km from Mt. Dobson, Mackenzie Motels features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Rooms come with a patio with views of the garden. Cosy room just off the main street in Fairlie. Room has a small courtyard, though it was a bit too cold to use, a spacious bathroom, and a big comfy bed. The dimplex heater with faux coals helped make the room feel even cosier. Room also has off street parking. Staff were super friendly and helpful, as well as pointing us to the excellent Carnegie's restaurant for dinner.

Conveniently located next to a historical pub and restaurant, Mt Dobson Motel offers self-catering accommodation with unlimited free WiFi. Everything was excellent! Best accommodation in our one month stay in NZ. The landlady was very friendly! I can recommend this place for everyone!

Set within the Burkes Pass gateway to Mackenzie Country, Burkes Pass Country Motels is centrally located for skiing at Mt Dobson and Roundhill and day trips to Mt Cook. Everything was new and clean. Comfortable bed and furniture. Nice to have a full size fridge. We drove 7k to Kimbell and had a wonderful dinner at the Creekside pub. It was fun taking the walking tour around Burkes pass the next morning. An interesting historical place.
