Located in Takaka, 10 minutes' drive from the beach, The Rocks Chalets features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available on site. Chalet was very well equipped with everything you needed and the room was super comfortable and spacious. Beautiful gardens, short walk into town, great communal kitchen in addition to wonderfully stocked kitchenette. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Would 100% recommend to anyone heading to Takaka!

Offering a range of accommodation options with garden and estuary views, Collingwood Park Motel borders the estuary and is 3 minutes' walk from the beach. Management was lovely. Being right on the water was super, and the town is tiny so we walked to dinner and wine. Museum was interesting, and the walk up to the historic cemetary was perfect.

Offering a children's playground and free on-site parking, Golden Bay Motel is located in Takaka, just 5 minutes' walk from shops and restaurants. Loved the motel & the floor to ceiling glass in the bedroom out to the peaceful garden. The motel was very quiet despite being located just off of the main road. Lisa, at reception was awesome & brought us a portable gas weber bbq to prepare our dinner. We liked everything about this motel, free washing machine for guests + it was very convenient & close to Takaka center. We'll definitely stay here again.
