Right next to a little jungle with lots of wildlife. So beautiful to sit there and relax. The restaurant / breakfast place is open to this jungle and has a fantastic view of the volcano. They have 2 feeding stations next to the restaurant and you can watch all kind of birds feeding there. My highlight was a toucan who spent time feeding and sitting there. Beautiful pool area and little ponds to sit by and listen to the birds .

Possibly the best stay we have had in our 2-week trip ! The family that runs this business is the heart and soul of this place and welcomed us with open arms. Very peaceful place immersed in nature. Aboundance of wildlife, tasty typical food and not far from La Fortuna town. Cute, comfortable and clean cabinas. Bonus point: unbelievable frog (and more) tour in the evening !

The property was perfect for us as a couple. Close to La Fortuna and far enough away that you were out of the busyness. The kitchen was stocked well enough to make simple meals. King bed was comfortable. The view of Arenal Volcano was amazing when it wasn’t too cloudy. The patio was sheltered from the rain so you could still enjoy coffee outside in the morning. Property felt secure with remote control opening and closing.

My partner and I stayed 4 nights at Cecropia ecolodge and absolutely loved our stay. Jay and Nohelia are amazing caring people. It really shows how much they thrive living at their lovely place and sharing it with their guests. Jay does an awesome guided night tour and we were lucky enough to see a lot of wildlife. Nohelia cooks delicious meals. I had a bad stomach the day I arrived and they were kind enough to make some organic tea from plants grown on the property - super tasty and helpful. Anything we needed they were happy to help with. Overall an amazing experience and we hope we're able to return one day! Pura vida ️️ Tim & Alice

The owner even offered to pick us up (given the fact that the lodge is a little hard to reach by public transport). The location of the room is right on the river. Open-air toilet and shower for some extra jungle fever. Room is spacious and impeccable, with AC and fridge, and a view on the river. The food is also great. They put out some bananas every day near the viewing platforms to attract a wide variety of birds (even toucans). They also offer great tours (river tours, kayak, walking tours, etc)

Boasting an outdoor pool and a hot tub, La Finca Lodge is located in Fortuna, 35 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. Complimentary WiFi is available. The staff was really friendly and helpfull. The room was perfect and the terrace was amazing with a fantastic view. The pool was nice and the area was so beautiful with all the nature and the birds. We absolutely loved it here and would definitely come back again!

Finca Amistad Cacao Lodge offers 60 hectares of Cocoa farm and guests can enjoy tours, chocolate and bird watching. The accommodation features a seating area. Wendy our cacao educator and teacher for chocolate making was amazing. David the tour guide was great. The kitchen staff was so nice and food farm fresh was delicious. The chocolate samples and cacao sugar pods were great and learning both the process of how the cacao is grown, how processed and how to make chocolate bars was amazing. The fresh cacao hot chocolate or cold chocolate was so good. We purchased the cacao powder, and our bars were wrapped so beautifully and the pulpo (cacao juice) was great. All farm staff amazing and the accommodations so beautiful. Will return and recommend highly.
