Guest House Don is located in the center of Hida Takayama, a world-famous tourist destination, a 10-minute walk from JR Takayama Station. As it is home sharing accommodation, there are no comfortable facilities or services. If you want a comfortable accommodation, I recommend staying at a hotel. However, you can stay very cheaply in the center of Takayama. Miyagawa Morning Market is a 1-minute walk, and you can also walk around the main sights of Takayama, such as the old town. Reservation required for parking. In addition, the owner runs a restrant on the first floor, lunch is available at noon, and as a izakaya(tavern) at night, guests can enjoy meals and drinks at special rates. Dependinng the owner's schedule, he can take you to the world heritage Shirakawago Gassho-style, Shinhotaka Ropeway, Kamikochi,Ski ground, Gero hot spring which is one of Japan's three most famous hot springs, Okuhida hot spring town, Tsumago and Magome-juku are old town along the nakasendo is one of the five major roads of the Edo period.
