Kvitåvatn Fjellstue ligger ved innsjøen Kvitåvatn, og gir utsikt over Gaustatoppen. I am ecstatic to have stayed in this location! It is a ski resort, with very modern facilities. We were only staying for a night and arrived late due to travel constraints, and it was a hassle-free check-in and were given a free upgrade! The bathroom has floor heating and it was an extremely comfy shower and toilet. All amenities were present in the room and the guest kitchen which we used for making our breakfast the next day. We had an excellent view of Gaustatoppen from our room with a balcony! Mesmerized by the stay and nature, we are sure to return here.

Breakfast in the morning is good, rooms are comfortable and not so small as I expected. Staff is kind, especially the lady at the reception.

This guest house is in Telemark County, in the town of Rjukan. It offers a TV room and fireplace lounge. Rjukan Station is 500 metres away. Everything. My stay was great and I was surprised with how clean the place was. It exceeded my expectations and as for this price in Norway, a much higher standard was provided. I have received less in hotels, here it was a gjestegård / guesthouse and I was treated like a guest who was welcome and all facilities made my stay comfortable. It’s not only clean, it’s also fresh (I see it was recently renovated), there were multiple cosy rooms, like a stua (day room) with comfy chairs, a fireplace, a place to drink coffee/tea etc. The toilets were meticulously clean and the same with bathrooms. Noises were isolated (though it’s a silent area in general). Once I opened the window, I got much fresh air and the sound of the stream. Views are picturesque from each window. I came to Rjukan just to visit the UNESCO-site, but thanks to this service level I will come back with pleasure, just to relax. One more thing: I liked the system with the breakfast that was offered. It functioned really well. In the area there are at least three large supermarkets open even during holidays.
