One of my best accommodations in Sri Lanka. If you want to have a real homestay experience, I highly recommend Holly House Homestay. Renuka and Deveka are such a lovely couple - they are very kind and caring. I only spent 2 nights with them, but they gave me good tips to go around the area during my short stay. Their little boy Imeth is adorable and smart! He’s learning English in pre-school, so you can talk to him in English.

The value for money. The staff. Almost everything. I stayed there for 2 weeks last February. I liked the hotel a lot. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Hashan the owner treated us as his own guests. He is very generous and hospitable. The food was very delicious and authentic. Haputale is very calm place and less touristy than Ella. I loved it more than Ella. It is surrounded by tea plantations, and very ery close to Horton Plains and Lipton’s seat. The hotel arranged trips for us to those places and to Udawalawe National Park. The roads around the hotel are great for trekking.

Secret View Homestay Ella mempunyai pemandangan gunung, WiFi percuma dan tempat parking peribadi percuma di Ella, 5.2km dari Jambatan Demodara Nine Arch. Awesome location, just a stroll away from the town centre. Very friendly staff who helped me find a bus to Tangalle after my stay, and all in all were always there for me. Tasty breakfast every morning. And the view... Absolutely amazing! Good starting point for the Ella Rock hike. Would love to come back one day!

Unfortunately my friend and I were not able to really enjoy the comforts of this place because we were so busy running around Ella. However, the homestay owners were the friendliest, the view was breathtaking, and I loved how quiet it was. The shower had hot water, the place was so clean (and so is the town!), and the beds with the mosquito net made me feel like a princess. Be mindful of animals.

Bed is very comfortable, room is clean and the area could get a bit chilly during the night which i love. It’s a nice short walk to the main town through the rail. It was just outside the Main Street in Ella, about a 10 minute walk but still has lots of restaurants near by. It was set back off the main road so we had some privacy. And right next to the path to 9 arches bridge
