Lovely staff who were always attentive and have always went above and beyond helping us with everything - from organizing our tours to preparing us breakfast. We also recommend the dinner which is very tasty and plenty of serving. The fish plus the spicy sauce on our last night was really good. Midian, one of the staff, and now our new friend, will make you feel safe and at home. he toured us around the neighbourhood with his friends where we had a true authentic Nubian experience. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Aswan. The owner was also very kind and made sure we were always looked after. Overall, we loved our time!

It is a nice intimate place in the beautiful island of Elephantine. The room was spotlessly clean, which was great relief after being disappointed by different hostels in Cairo. We enjoyed the short walks on the island, where we met a lot of welcoming local families, away from the hustle of downtown. We also enjoyed the beautiful little terrace and garden in front of the room, and the good dishes made by Kafana and his crew. They were all extremely nice and respectful, besides being a great company and fun to be around. We felt we were among friends. Kafana himself is very accommodating and went out of his way to get us to our train on time. Very thankful for this experience and will surely visit again.

Wanas Kato Guest House ligger vid stranden i Ash Shallāl och har en egen strand samt gratis WiFi. I loved everything about my stay! The location, the atmosphere, kind, smiling owner and staff, delicious homemade food, cleanliness of rooms and facilities. The owner said that he put his heart in it and you can really see/sense that. He was very kind and willing to go extra mile for us. He made us feel like we are visiting family. This home is epitome of Egyptian hospitality and I recommend it to everyone.
