This is one of the best locations I’ve visited so far. Situated in a very remote area where there’s limited access to outer world. You have to take a basic nature trail to reach the destination which my family enjoyed much. once you entered the premises it’s like you stepped into another country. Very calm and peaceful environment so we need to adopt to the destination. I recommend this place to all nature lovers who look for places where you can blend with nature. Limited electricity so prepare yourself with backups. (power banks, flashlights, ect)

Athgira River Camp ligger ved Udawalawe National Park med udsigt til Rakwana-floden. Overnatningsstedet ligger meget tæt på Udawalawe Reservoir og Elephant Orphanage. A little oasis surrounded by nature and a beautiful river (very nice for reading a book!). Everything was perfect and the stuff is incredibly friendly and very helpful!

This was one of the most peaceful, lovely experiences during my trip around Sri Lanka. The tents were well equipped, spacious, and comfortable and made for a peaceful nights sleep. Madu the manager was so kind and helpful! The service and food was excellent- homemade traditional sri lankan food in big portions. We had a lovely time wandering around and going for a swim in the river with the friendly dog Lola. We would like to thank Madu and everyone at the property for their hospitality. We will definitely be coming again! Great glamping experience.

This unique tent is set on the border of the National Park and comes with a private bathroom. The place was really awesome. We had a great time with family.
