Offering a garden and mountain view, Freedom Camp Ella is set in Ella, 3.6 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge and 48 km from Hakgala Botanical Garden. It's a wonderland in jungle. Though i could stay only for a night, but the experience was exceptional. This was my first experience of staying in tent in a foreign country. In night glittering of numerous stars in sky & fireflies on ground, believe me, it was magical. It can't be explained in words, you have to be here to experience the magic of nature. Whenever you visit Ella, stay here, atleast for a night. They also have a well maintained kitchen with refridgerator, kettle, gas stove, induction stove, cooking pans, etc. etc. So you can cook by your own. Owner of this facility Mr. Taru is a nice human being & I enjoyed talking with him. He dropped me to nearby bus stop, such a kind gesture.

The unit offers 3 beds. Tunnel Gap Resort Ella offers accommodation located just 500 meters from the Ella Railway Station. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Each room has a private bathroom. The family is super sweet. They rent out scooters for a fair price, with helmets. I loved playing with their cats. IF you're planning to take the train the morning after, it's very close to the station. The room is clean and comfortable. I very much appreciated that there was a squeegee in the bathroom so we can keep the bathroom clean in between housekeeping. The property is located on a small but steep hill. It takes about 30 seconds of climbing, so I don't think it's an issue for most healthy people but it's a good information to have.

Guests will find a refrigerator and a tea and coffee maker in the kitchenette. The tent also has a barbecue. We stayed in the tent. The waterfall view is stunning and it really feels like you are in the lap of nature. It’s like an adventure feeling, but with the luxury of a lovely tent (with lots of chill out space) and a nice bathroom. The staff is very sweet and made super nice Sri Lankan dinner for us. We would highly recommend the tent if you would like an adventurous experience in nature and yet comfortable. First day we just chilled in the tent and second day went for the Ella rock hike which starts right from the property. You need to take full tuk to go to Ella main town

Very nice Glamping site ,hot water and wi-fi on a jungle atmosphere in the city is lovely.good staff and so cleaned.we stayed 3 days in Ella but could not pick a place like this.
