Guests can relax on two verandas and explore Cape Town, which is a 7-minute drive away.... Decor is really gorgeous - lovey colonial style. Room with the balcony and bath is stunning. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Neighbourhood feels safe and has a few good spots to eat/drink close by. Guide book in the room has really great recomms for eating, tours etc.

Location on Bree Street is very good with a number of good places to eat and drink right on your doorstep. Staff are very friendly and welcoming....nothing was too much trouble for them. Location is great if you want to avail of the Red Bus tours as their office is less than 2 min walk from the hotel (blue and red routes stop there). Breakfast is also lovely!

The old-world charm just made you feel at home but by far and away the best thing about Mount Nelson is the staff....each and every person we interacted with were so friendly and helpful.
