Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Stanyan Park Hotel offers Victorian-style rooms with free WiFi. It serves a daily expanded continental breakfast. Golden Gate Park is steps away. Our two bedroom suite was outstanding, a huge apartment with lots of character and incredibly comfy beds. Great historic photos throughout the hotel and very nice staff. Free wine at 5 each day a nice touch! Breakfast was okay, but convenient to have - all items were pre-made ie. little breakfast sandwiches in plastic wrappers that you reheat in a microwave, but there were also cereals, yogurt etc. Coffee not great but you can go up Stanyan a block to Flywheel for outstanding coffee.

While the decor is very charming, full of interesting antique furniture, the place is also very comfortable. The hosts were very responsive; they were quick to bring us extra towels and did everything to make sure we were happy. The location was excellent, close to shops on Haight and the Golden Gate and Buena Vista parks. The shared kitchen was terrific; well stocked with tea and spices and full of light, with plenty of space to cook and eat. We loved it!
