This basically felt like a hotel, everything was in such good condition, exactly like the photos, clean, nice stop in Monterey.

Located near the Cabrillo Highway, the Padre Oaks is 4 minutes' drive to downtown Monterey. It is also 4.8 km away form the Monterey Aquarium and the Monterey State Beach. The hotel features free... The staff and housekeeping were very friendly. The woman housekeeper was very thoughtful and kind.

This place is one of the most affordable in the area, is in a great location, and has everything you need. Staff was very helpful with borrowing extra towels and getting cutlery for meals. We expected the place to be way worse based on what we paid, but ended up being pleasantly surprised. Also we got upgraded to a larger bed at check-in; likely because it was the off season.

Located just outside of the city centre of Monterey, California, and only moments away from a number of area attractions and the waterfront, this charming hotel features comfortable accommodation in a... This was the third property I stayed in and because it was less expensive than the other two I wasn’t expecting much. How wrong I was, the room was clean, the bed comfortable and large, there was plenty of hot water with tea and coffee making facilities with the flannels folded in a beautiful pattern. Even though it was on the main road, traffic noise was minimal. The proprietor was friendly and helpful along with his staff. Being without a car wasn’t a handicap as there was a Whole foods supermarket a five minute walk away and a Thai restaurant another 3 minute walk in the other direction. I walked to Fisherman’s wharf and Cannery Row every day even though I could have taken the bus. Monterey Bay was my favourite place, I would certainly love to go back and or recommend it to my friends and I would definitely recommend Monterey Pines Inn.
