Located in Unawatuna, a few steps from Unawatuna Beach, The Waves Unawatuna features views of the sea. This hotel is clean, spacious and has an amazing view of the ocean. The staff are friendly and the breakfast was delicious and is served in the restaurant on the beach in front of the hotel. On the day of checkout, the restaurant was closed as it was a holiday. Breakfast was served to me on my balcony which was a nice touch as I could leisurely finalize my packing and eat breakfast with the view of the beach. The beach is literally across a small street. Sunbeds, umbrellas, and beach towels are all provided. The room is cleaned daily. Besides the restaurant in front of the hotel, there are lots of other restaurants along the street serving a variety of cuisines.

Facing the beachfront, Una Beach Hotel & OLU Cafe offers 2-star accommodation in Unawatuna and has a garden, terrace and restaurant. Everything was goos. The staff & owner was really friendly

Thaprobane Beach House nalazi se na glavnoj plaži Unawatune. Nudi 2 restorana te klimatizirane sobe s pogledom na ocean i zelenilo. U zajedničkim prostorijama na raspolaganju je besplatan WiFi. this is our second time to the Thaproban and we love it. the staff in particular are very friendly and always there to make sure you have what you need be it a sunchair or a drink from the bar. the location is the best on the beach, best for swimming and view, and the big hulking hotel is out of sight. Breakfast is excellent, even the Western which we almost never order, and the dinner menu while touristic and seafood based (to be expected) was very good especially the tuna and crab The rooms are lovely, we splurged for the penthouse with balcony and didn’t want to leave. we will be back!

We liked everything especially the seafood platter :-) food was excellent, staff very friendly and very helpful. Looking forward to seeing the new extension when completed. The location was excellent.
