The subway line has an elevator so even if you have luggage, it would be easy to get on and off the train station. The property was very clean and quite spacious. It had everything in it. The location is quite good too. Close to a lot of places. Just a train ride to the Gion area. It is also pretty close to Kyoto station. You do need to transfer though, but pretty short trip. There are also a couple of restaurants around the hotel. Plus, a lawson next to the train station. Best of all, the staff are very nice and accommodating. I was able to leave my luggage before check in time.

Featuring free WiFi, Kyoto Yamashina Hotel Sanraku is set in Kyoto. The property is around 2.9 km from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, 3.2 km from Eikan-do Zenrin-ji and 4.2 km from Heian Shrine. The best hotel we've been to in Japan so far. The staff speaks English very good which helped us check in/out pretty fast. The room was incredible, the bed very large and the bathroom larger than expected. We had breakfast there and it was so good; they even prepare an omelet for you (you have to try both styles proposed). Yamashina is pretty small and quiet but there are good restaurants and a casino where you can spend your money.

Set in Kyoto, 3.4 km from Shoren-in Temple and 3.8 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto, 金閣荘 offers accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. I enjoyed experiencing a more traditional Japanese style room while I was staying in Kyoto. The location was really nice being close to nature and the nearby city! It's on top of a big hill, so your legs will get a good workout each time you go up and down. It's pretty convenient being close to the main things you can think of, such as transportation, convenience stores, restaurants, and nature trails. I would stay here again!

Also the additional manga, books and board games were entertaining too! Everything was well arranged with proper and clear instructions about their operation. The rooms were very spacious too. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and even guided us to the guest house by a phone call.
