Art Hotel Ristorante Posta Al Lago ligger precis vid Lago Maggiores strand och har en restaurang med vidsträckt utsikt över sjön och de omgivande bergen. Brissago-öarna ligger en kort båttur bort. The hotel is in a great position on the waterfront overlooking Brissago Island. Our room had a balcony to enjoy the view. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and especially a beautiful breakfast. The staff were very friendly. Nice to be out of town but with easy access by bus to Locarno. We would highly recommend staying at the Art Hotel and plan to go back again.

It includes a free parking at the main street which is very convenient as there is not so much space at the lake. From there you need to take a few stairs to get to the apartment, which is bit of a struggle to get your luggage up but it makes that you have a nice view over the lake from the little terrace in front of the apartment. The apartment is well organized, lovely decorated and very clean. The kitchen is well-equipped and has everything you need (including dish washer, coffee machine with a few free capsules, all kitchen tools, etc.). The bathroom and shower were clean and perfect, the bed was very comfortable. You can still hear the busy road a bit but if you keep the windows closed (there is air-conditioning), it doesn't disturb you. Locarno is a 10-min drive from the apartment. The host is very friendly and communication was good (he speaks French and German).
