I 100% recommend staying at this beautiful hotel! The location was on a quiet street, just a short (300m) walk to restaurants etc. The hotel felt very safe and secure. We staying in the 'Gloria' Queen room and it had a lovely view over the garden and city. The room itself was well appointed, modern, comfortable and clean. The room size was perfect for a multiple night stay. I found the breakfast excellent, with a choice of cold options available (yoghurt, bread, pastries, fruit, cheese etc) . You could also ask for scrambled eggs. The host was lovely and so helpful, even with the language barrier. She allowed us to store our bags for a few hours, and also use the pool area after check-out as we had a late flight that evening.

Near to the bars and the whole nightscene but still in a quiet area to get a good sleep. Rooms and common area like in the pictures. It was clean and provided with what you need for a stay. The Hotel Monte Alegre is an economic option located in the centre of Rio de Janeiro, near the popular Lapa district and with easy access to museums, theatres and other attractions. Amazing location in the city center. Near bus stations. Near supermarkets and pharmacies. Staff is friendly and will help you in anything you need. The interiors are nice and the rooms are super comfortable. AC, desk and closet.

Ideally situated in the Santa Teresa district of Rio de Janeiro, Lobie Armazém São Joaquim is situated 2.4 km from Flamengo Beach, 1.2 km from Escadaria Selarón and 2.7 km from Municipal Theatre of... Everything. The decor, the room, the location. Cool bohemian cafes and bars for breakfast and night hang out in the area. Close to the Explorer restaurant. The restaurant of the hotel is also extremely popular. They let us check out way later than the official time. Nice gesture.

Rio de Janeiro’s historic and cultural neighbourhood of Lapa is at your doorstep at the Hotel Americano. All rooms come equipped with air conditioning and cable TV. Free parking is available. My room was large and my bathroom had been newly renovated and had a large jacuzzi. I also had a small entrance room that had a fridge and computer table. I was comfortable and overall enjoyed my stay. The location is relatively central although you do have to walk a bit to the metro.

The perfect oasis of tranquility in the hustle and bustle of Rio. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Rio :)
