I 100% recommend staying at this beautiful hotel! The location was on a quiet street, just a short (300m) walk to restaurants etc. The hotel felt very safe and secure. We staying in the 'Gloria' Queen room and it had a lovely view over the garden and city. The room itself was well appointed, modern, comfortable and clean. The room size was perfect for a multiple night stay. I found the breakfast excellent, with a choice of cold options available (yoghurt, bread, pastries, fruit, cheese etc) . You could also ask for scrambled eggs. The host was lovely and so helpful, even with the language barrier. She allowed us to store our bags for a few hours, and also use the pool area after check-out as we had a late flight that evening.

The deco - living room/dining room is very tasteful and gives you a feel of homely vibe. Food menu is limited but sufficient. Swimming pool is good size. You also have a game room to play a round of pool, or can retreat to sauna room to steam off all those caipirinhas. Staff (Pablo, Leo to name a few) are so hospital and professional. I was sick during my stay and their tentativeness (and the comfort of the hotel) certainly made the experience much more endurable. Hotel is also pretty close to main area of Santa Teresa by foot.

Near to the bars and the whole nightscene but still in a quiet area to get a good sleep. Rooms and common area like in the pictures. It was clean and provided with what you need for a stay. Alberto was very attentive to whatever you could need. Thank you!! 😃

Amazing location in the city center. Near bus stations. Near supermarkets and pharmacies. Staff is friendly and will help you in anything you need. The interiors are nice and the rooms are super comfortable. AC, desk and closet.

Lobie Armazém São Joaquim har en ideel beliggenhed i Santa Teresa-kvarteret i Rio de Janeiro, 2,4 km fra Flamengo Strand, 1,2 km fra Escadaria Selarón og 2,7 km fra det kommunale teater i Rio de... Everything. The decor, the room, the location. Cool bohemian cafes and bars for breakfast and night hang out in the area. Close to the Explorer restaurant. The restaurant of the hotel is also extremely popular. They let us check out way later than the official time. Nice gesture.

Rio de Janeiros historiske og kulturelle kvarter Lapa ligger lige uden for Hotel Americano. Samtlige værelser er udstyret med aircondition og kabel-tv. Der er gratis parkering. My room was large and my bathroom had been newly renovated and had a large jacuzzi. I also had a small entrance room that had a fridge and computer table. I was comfortable and overall enjoyed my stay. The location is relatively central although you do have to walk a bit to the metro.

Nice location in the neighbourhood of Santa Teresa, beautiful old building with a nice garden and an amazing view over the city and the Cristo statue. The perfect oasis of tranquility in the hustle and bustle of Rio. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Rio :)
