We are retired and full time travelers (for 6 years now). Every once in a while a stay will REALLY feel like HOME to us (we no longer have a home since losing it to a wildfire in California in December 2017). Baltina Parc Transfagarasan was easy to find. Right off the main road. Parking is easy. Being greeted as if we were long lost family by the sweet hostess was a wonderful feeling. She explained with GOOGLE translator that they had a wedding party the night before and was still in the process of cleaning the communal kitchen and dining area. We said no problem then my husband jokingly asked “do you have any left over cake?”. Yes she did. And next thing we know, we were being served cake - for the three of us! Plus, she poured three glasses of Afinata (Romanian homemade blueberry liqueur) and exclaimed “Noroc!!” (cheers). Such a special moment. Our little ‘cabin’ was stunningly clean, comfortable and came with amazing views from our own covered porch. I loved seeing the haystacks, orchard and gearing the clucking chickens. The common kitchen had a great espresso machine with all coffee and tea fixings supplied. It was lovely to spend the morning drinking coffee & tea from our porch. WiFi is great. There is absolutely nothing except perfection about this stay! Trust me, I know good stays from bad stays. We spent almost three weeks in Romania and this stay is the most memorable for all the right reasons! Do not hesitate to stay at Baltina Parc Transfagarasan!!

Located in Cîrţişoara, within 38 km of Făgăraș Fortress and 46 km of Union Square, CASA ANDREI provides accommodation with a terrace as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Everything was very nice and clean. We communicate well with the owner.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Old Court is a holiday home set in a historic building in Curtea de Argeş, 30 km from Vidraru Dam. Everything was awesome, stuff, location and the house was perfect

Located within 27 km of Vidraru Dam and 39 km of Cozia AquaPark, LA LIVADA provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Valea Danului. Beautiful location. Place was so clean and cute and comfortable and had everything we needed to cook meals. Had fun playing ping pong and picking raspberries!

Offering a garden and garden view, Casa Pandrea is located in Cîrţişoara, 37 km from Făgăraș Fortress and 45 km from Union Square. Great location in the beginning of Transfagaran road. Hosts were very friendly, the room was tidy, with comfy bed, tv, and nice bathroom. The shared kitchen was well equipped, we could also enjoy the mountain view from there.

Casa Ariana is a villa set in Curtea de Argeş, 35 km from Băile Olăneşti. You can fire up the barbecue for a tasty meal and enjoy the garden in fair weather. Great location, right next to the local market. . Wonderful and friendly hosts. Nice big rooms and great garden.

Located in Corbeni, 1 km from the Antonesti Monastery, Pensiunea Dandu offers a garden with a children’s playground and barbecue facilities. Great location, amenities and the playground.

Featuring river views, Family Mountain Cottage offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 48 km from Union Square. We didn't have breakfast but it was not in the plan so no problem about that. The place was wonderful. Getting the keys was super easy, the landlord gave me clear instructions abut everything. The location is amazing, it is quiet and very close to fagaras.

Set in Corbeni and only 12 km from Vidraru Dam, Casa M.A.R.A offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Great place, newly renovated, really clean and comfortable. Nice bathroom and comfortable, spacious shower. We came a bit late because of the traffic but the hosts were helpful and friendly. I can definately recommend this place and we hope to come back again.
