Yes it’s a winding drive up the mountain so you need a car but that is part of what makes it so spectacular. Amazing views from the home! Mountains and waterfalls! Warm and cozy with a nice wood burning fireplace. Comfortable bed. Fully furnished living room was so cozy after a long day of exploring Nicely stocked large kitchen is perfect for preparing meals …And a wonderful jetted tub! Only 2 of us so we never even used the two bedrooms upstairs but this would be a wonderful place for families or friend get together. Also has a washer so it was great to clean everything after a weeks worth of hiking! The town is close by ( about 10 min drive) so everything is convenient. Would recommend that you book this beautiful home in a heartbeat!

Located in Briksdalsbre, Melkevoll Bretun Camping features accommodation with seating area. This holiday home provides air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. This was my favourite location during our 12 day tour of Norway! A fabulous site with absolutely STUNNING scenery all around. The "camp site" was spotless and well maintained, as was the very spacious cabin we rented. Actually, I could quite happily have moved into that cabin on a permanent basis! Falling asleep to the sound of a magnificent waterfall to one side, and a rushing bubbling stream to the other was simply magical. The owners were so friendly and helpful, and we were so sad to have to leave after 2 days to move on to the next leg of the journey! Sorry that I didn't take photos of the cabin (only a video) but it was exactly as per the pictures on the booking.com website.

Our son is a train freak, so with sight on the tracks out of the window it could not have been better! The house was very clean, very comfortable and nothing was missing! The owners thought really well about the needs of the guests. First time i found a holiday home so well equiped. The house has a really nice garden with a cherrytree and a neighbour with lovely goats. We really enjoyed our stay here as a family.

The nature is stunning. When it comes to Flatheim everything here is just like it should be. You have a feeling that you’re visiting your relatives who live in one of the most beautiful places you have ever seen. They serve you incredibly delicious meals even if vegetarian food isn’t their passion and spend lovely moments on conversations. Expierencing stormy weather on the sea took our hearts. Lovely place in a lovely location. Nice and clean. The apartment had everything we needed & the hosts were the nicest people. We really liked it here. Good location for hikes & a beach down the hill.
