The amount of small little details that we loved is too many to mention individually, but everything looked like it was done with intention, from the kitchenware to the bathroom supplies to even the coat hangers. The fireplace was an absolutely amazing little add-on, which one doesn’t often get, and which made it even cozier and homey-er. The kitchen was fully equipped and everything worked great, the beds were comfortable and warm. The place in itself is easy to find with the descriptions, and close enough to the next town to quickly get some essentials if needed, while also far enough away to feel cosy and calm. We had a brief chat with one of the owners when we arrived, who was super nice and told us a little bit about the house and the area in general. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Felt like a lovely home from home with beautiful bathrooms and plenty of room in shared facilities. Even had toiletries in bathrooms for those that had none. Skuli the farm dog was simply the best dog ever. Stefan was amazingly friendly and we were so surprised when he came back into the guesthouse kitchen at night with fresh baked rye bread for the guests to eat. The perfect stay

Skalanes Nature Heritage Centre is 19 km from Langahlid Cottages, while Egilsstadir town centre is 29 km away. Lovely cottage with amazing views. Really enjoyed the hot tub. The host was extremely sweet, go in touch with us prompty before check in to share all the information. Also met us at check out to give a box of chocolates. Really enjoyed our stay

The recently renovated villa has 3 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV with streaming services and a fully equipped kitchen that provides guests with a dishwasher, an oven, a washing machine, a toaster and a fridge. Guests can take in the views of the mountain from the terrace, which also has outdoor furniture. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. It's a very comfortable and beautiful place. There's all of the amenities we can possibly need. The host was a delight as well, very nice, helpful and comprehensive. Heated floor in the main entrance, café machines and drying and washing machines also available. It was a really a modern house with a comfy outlook. Comfortable beds and big nice dining table. We loved it.
