It offers a calm and peaceful experience to unwind from the city hustle. The staff took the best care of us, arranged for veg food, provided snacks for our long road trips and tried to fulfill all our requests patiently, in short made us feel at home! Highly recommend staying at Hilldale Retreat if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway!

Colonial villa with charm, that breathes history. Villa is in flood condition, it would need some fixing. But it was very nice stay. Old fashioned living room, where the host serves the breakfas is amazing. One of the best breakfast we had in Sri lanka. Delicious!

The property is solidly built. The cold wind was howling around the whole night but the building withstood all the battering without a complaint. The trees all round were getting huge battering. The rooms were spacious and bathrooms were modern with some nice lighting. The wooden floors were sparkling clean and the staff would have taken tremendous amount of efforts to keep it that way

Kent Cottage certainly exceeded our expectations! From check in to check out, the staff made sure our stay was the best we ever had. They were flexible to meet all our requirements, arranged meals according to our convenient times, and the food was heavenly! Thanks Appu for the amazing food! The room was just a dream come true for me: the VERY cozy beds, and the very elegant bathroom - didn't make me want to leave that place. The interior designing of the entire cottage was out of this world. Nalaka was very kind enough to take us on a tour around Little England scheme, to the neighboring vegetable farms and the tea estates. Would highly recommend this to anyone - very worth it for the price we paid. Kudos to Nalaka and the team managing the place and for the beautiful bouquet of flowers you gave me when leaving. Looking forward to visiting the place again.

The people who work in the hotel were beyond helpful - they went extra mile at every instance to make us feel at home, and cared after. We visited the hotel during the Christmas season and the atmosphere was simply magical. Thanks to the whole team for the exceptional experience.
