Breakfast was excellent. Our hosts worked extra hard to overcome a miscommunication on our breakfast order. The kids loved visiting the kitchen at night.

The cabin was great! A bit rustic on the outside, but the inside looked great, very clean, well maintained, very functional and the king-size bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Also Woodland Park is located in a very beautiful, scenic area.

Green Mountain Falls is one of the most charming little towns in Colorado. Beautiful views and very scenic hiking trails. The streams on the trails are very picturesque. A few atmospheric restaurants with delicious food. 😋 The locals are very friendly too. You will love your time here!

This small town nestled on the side of the mountain is quaint and beautiful. According to a local business owner the town triples in size in the summer due to many of the homes being summer and rental cabins. There are plenty of hiking trails. The Thomas trail is perfect for average hikers. It begins and ends with waterfalls. We ate dinner at Mucky Ducks. I'm sure on weekends and peak tourist times you'd need reservations. The name does not reflect the atmosphere. I expected a loud, down home country feel and a comfort food type menu (obviously didn't read menu online). But, it's a rather upscale-ish place. Quiet yet popular music in the background. Higher grade dishes...a bit pricier than expected but worth it. The chocolate cake a la mode was delicious. The Pantry just around the corner (everything within walking distance) serves breakfast and lunch. We ate there twice in one day due to a long hike. Both meals were delicious. My only complaint was that the coffee was too weak. :) The roads are not paved in most of the town. Red granite rock. No biggie but just be aware. Always choose an offroad type rental car if you're flying in to Col. Springs. The people were friendly and there are several gift shops for browsing. The first few days in Colorado are tough on the lungs due to the higher altitude. I suggest a day of acclimation before hiking the trails.

The view from the room was amazing.
The view from the room was amazing. Sitting out on the deck, was peaceful and relaxing. The only negative was didn't have an elevator, but it wasn't a big deal. I would highly recommend and hope to stay again.

There was no hot water for the morning shower!
There was no hot water for the morning shower! There was no one at a front desk to show us the room. We only had a code sent by text message to get us in. There was no morning breakfast or even a continental breakfast. There was no sink or mirror in the bathroom. There was only a sink with a mirror attached to the wall in the kitchen area. There was also no one available when we checked out.

We loved the location of this beautiful lodge.
We loved the location of this beautiful lodge. It was close enough to the city yet far enough away that you felt like you were in the mountains. The accommodations were perfect for our family of 4. The town was fun as well with nice restaurants and a fun little pond area.
