You want to stay in SANDESTIN in Miramar Beach just East of Destin. Destin proper is not as refined and relaxing as Sandestin. Destin is too cliché touristy and younger busy and older community looking. Sandestin is classier yet not stuffy. Just East of Sandestin is the beautiful town of Santa Rosa Beach that is ritzy and gorgeous and has a beautiful beach nearby called Blue Mountain Beach. Santa Rosa Beach also has some excellent restaurants also with nice views of the Gulf.

Love Destin.
Love Destin. The beautiful white beaches and the clear water you just can not beat. There is plenty to do from mini golf, go carts, swimming with the dolphins, MY FAV. THE SHOPPING, and Wonderful restaurants and food. This will be our forever Vaca yearly.. Definitely try Mcguires Irish pub the best steak I've ever eaten, AJ's on the bay is a perfect lunch stop and we all know the famous Donut Hole for breakfast...Lee. TUNES&SHIT - 8.0Scored 8.0

Destin is a beautiful area for families The beach is clean and the sand is soft and white. There are so many things to do in the area. Driving is a bit of a hassle, but the rental of a golf cart looked like a smart idea. We ate at Fat Clemenza's and the Surf Hut. Both were excellent for the food and the ambiance. We also ate at Fudpuckers, but once we were seated, it took forever to be served our food. My husband and I came for our babymoon in February. It was cool - but coming from the NorthEast Winter, it was exactly the escape we needed. We spent almost everyday walking around the resort, visiting the swimming pools (The main pool was heated which was great for taking a dip, and the Market Street pool was perfect for sunbathing in remote quiet), and biked several times around the entire resort and to the beach. The biking paths were our favorite aspect of the resort - we saw so many beautiful views and renting the bikes was easy! The food at Baytowne Wharf was perhaps some of the best eats we've ever had and the bay and beach sunsets should NOT be missed!DohertyUnited States - 10Scored 10
Nice sandy beach.
Nice sandy beach. Possible to hire chairs and a parasol but very expensive! Close to shops and restaurants. Would have liked to visit the Turtle Conservation center but it was closed when we were in Destin so we visited Fort Pickens instead

But for a one night booking the price I payed I wasn’t paying for the property I was paying the location. The property needs work. It’s an older property so expect bathroom to have broken corners or the room carpet to be dirty and be broken in corners. Honestly $140-160 would be the price for this hotel per night on a weekend. Not worth the $240/night weekend. Overall we were glad it was clean

We were in Destin Florida which is extremely busy this time of year and there was absolutely no rooms available for us anywhere. However extended stay, found us a room and because of the inconvenience offered it to us at an extreme discount. It was really nice of them. In the future I will not be booking on one of those websites again I will go directly to the hotel itself.

The people were so attentive and kind along with valet always right on time. It was so clean and nice that I felt comfortable enough to walk barefoot. If you know me you know I don't do that. Beautiful rooftop and relaxing music and vibes that are amazing for all ages. My kids had a blast and so did my husband. We will indeed be back!
