We loved the location of the property right on the Douro River. What a fabulous view! The restaurant was terrific. The breakfasts were wonderful and varied and the dinner there was delicious as well. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the wine tasting and tour, too. The room was well appointed and had a great balcony - really enjoyed it!

Luxurious stay with phenomenal views of the Douro River and Valley. Breakfast with fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, yogurt, grains, juices, pastries, bread, coffee, tea was wonderful. The terraces permitted and encouraged relaxing and tranquil lounging. Rooms were clean, generally well-furnished, with spa-like bathrooms. The staff were particularly helpful with our day touring arrangements, making dinner reservations for us in Pinhao.
