Great view and the curtains are pretty but useless, needs a blind or blackout.
Room was a very good size with an aroma of paint.
Gluten free range poor. Bread was poor tasting.
Wife carries her own GF cornflakes and bread which one head waiter objected to.

The view from the balcony was just perfect. Breakfast was adequate but not as good as other hotels we stayed in. On our last morning there was a power cut (in the whole area) I was disappointed that the hotel did not appear to have a generator or even a gas alternative to ensure that their guests were able to have a hot breakfast. When an under manager was told of this disappointment he indicated there was nothing they could do. I beg to differ. An alternative means of cooking should have been in place.

As the end of the Geiranger Fjord, the village is constantly under a constant flow of tourists coming with the huge cruise ships. The village per se has nothing else special versus other Norwegian villages on any other fjord, but this constant movement of people from the ships gives it the opportunity to be super busy and even more expensive than the normal expensive Norway.ralu khaBelgium - 10Scored 10

It is probably one of the nicest areas of Norway, and the Geiranger Fjords should be visited by everyone when in Norway. Despite the distances involved, visitors should get out and about, driving cars there requires some skill and attention, but the roads are well maintained. (Watch out for hikers and bikers!). Geiranger is one of the most attractive destinations in the world , the nature itself is a reward and what i suggest is that the concerned authorities can add more services here and there to meet the needs and the expectations of all tourists from all over the world , like more supermarkets , more shopping options etc

Nice little village but very touristy when cruise liners are in. Limited choice of restaurants. Lots of tourist goods shops, boat trips available along with kayaking etc. A nice place to chill for a couple of days.

The cabin was well equipped with microwave, oven and kettle. The place is clean and the bathroom was very spacious. The space was just nice, compact but not too small. There was also laundry in the bathroom and dryer close by. This was a real plus as I was travelling around Norway for over 25 days. The location was 5 mins from town and the road to and from town was very easy. Great location with beach view

So many natural beauty places to see around here, and hikes to do. I would recommend hiring a boat for fjord exploration at your own pace. Taking a short drive to the Dalsnibba viewpoint is a must, as well as to any of the other close-by viewpoints. Walk the steps next to the powerful display of water flowing into the fjord. Take a canoe/kayak and see the many waterfalls from up close.SrdanZUnited States

It is perhaps 100 meters from the over look everyone stops at to view Geiranger with the fjord behind it. We walked to the overlook and decided our room view was better. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. It is a short drive into the town were there are more dining options and lots of activities. There are also great hiking options that can start right from the hotel.

The staff is soo nice, joyful and helpful. Great breakfast delivered in front of your room. Right next to Dalsniba road, 20 mins to the start of scenic route Gamle Strynefjellsveg and 30 mins from Geiranger, actually on Geiranger Trollstigen scenic route. We stayed for 2 nights and could have easily stayed another week to explore the entire area.

I found the cabin very clean and equipped with common use items. the shower was large by European standards with lots of hot water. Geiranger is a small village with limited places to eat so I enjoyed making my own breakfasts and dinners (packed lunches for hikes). the places had a lot of character to them and they were situated for privacy

We took it because it looked ok based on the prices of the other hotels and the reviews it had. The hotel lays down at the docks and the township of Geiranger. The hotels are quite old but it only shows on the bathroom and the sound proofing. Excellent view from the room we had and that was double or twin room with a fjord view. The breakfast was good.

It was warm and cozy at night. Hospitable and polite staff is always helpful. They fed us a hot dinner just before closing time. Also Westeras Gard has one of the best restaurants in Geiranger, where we eat. Delicious farm food. Highly recommend this place and thank you for your state and care.
