Our stay at Victoria's Maria Townhouse was a wonderful experience. The location is a short walk to the bus station where you are able to connect throughout the island. I requested early luggage drop off as we arrived in the morning and wanted to head out hiking. The owner was very welcoming when we arrived even offering to carry our luggage. For breakfast we were given a menu to select from the night before. There were so many tasty options and breakfast was delivered to our room. As for dinner, there are many restaurants nearby on Pjazza San Gorg and further afield. We felt very much at home and were delighted to stay in a heritage building down a little winding street. Thank you Joe for caring for us.

Victoria is a wonderful small city in the center of Gozo. It is charming with many beautiful historic buildings, delicious restaurants and friendly people. It is the center of the bus network so you can get to almost anywhere on Gozo by bus.

The Castella district has much to offer and the views all around the island are excellent. Both hotels we stayed at were lovely. One can get to all the main beaches and attractions on public transport. We found the busses to be on time and nicely air conditioned and one gets to places quickly.

I have been to Gozo a few times before but the reason for the visit was to go to the opera house to see Verdi's Aida. Victoria has a lot of things to see and the island of Gozo is interesting with many things to see and also wonderful beaches and historyGeraldNetherlands - 10Scored 10
Victoria is the center of Gozo, all bus lines come here.
Victoria is the center of Gozo, all bus lines come here. Busses are on time, most of times. But some are only one per an hour. If I come back, I definitely will rent a car (I am not sure the parking situation of Victoria, though).

The en-suite was large and the shower was excellent. There is a rooftop pool which looks over the rooftops to the citadel and it’s a good place to just lounge in the sunshine. Breakfasts are excellent and freshly cooked. Good coffee too. Giovanna is an excellent host; friendly and super efficient. Giovanna has a superb knowledge of the area and is keen to ensure that her guests enjoy their stay. Definitely a place we will return to.

The room itself was spacious and very comfortable and we really appreciated having a heater in the room as well as the bathroom as it was quite chilly when we were there in early March. It's a great place to base yourself in Gozo as it's right in the heart of the capital Victoria (Rabat) with buses nearby, and yet our room was very quiet. The highlight was the sumptuous breakfast!
