breathtaking location and close to laugarvatn geothermal area. We especially like the country charm of the cottage, with coloring books and games provided for the family. They provided a baby chair for the dinner table and overall, we had a great stay.

A little heaven on earth. The cottage is very cosy and confortable. The little river just outside in the garden make the surroundings so peaceful. It is the perfect place to watch the northern lights.

I loved this place.
I loved this place. It was perfect location for different places to visit such as Geyster, Pingvilllar (National Park), etc. The accommodation was cosy and lovely. The owners were friendly, helpful and thoughtful; always informed me and my friends about the weather and issues with the hire car. We loved the scenery of the lake especially visiting the hot geothermal bath nearly every night. the last night before we returned to the city, we saw Northern Lights! that was the highlight of the short break. We would go back and stay there again. Loved it.

We chose it as a night stop between golden circle and Vik; village has thermal baths but we had already had thermal spa at blue lagoon, so we didn’t try these baths; There are at least three places for dinner :) The village is not worth for a longer stay or you can find a more attractive place ;)AAnonymousLithuania - 8.0Scored 8.0

My guesthouse was comfortable and pleasant.
My guesthouse was comfortable and pleasant. I wished I had more time to enjoy the Fortuna. My hike at 10pm was delightful. I cannot recall ever smelling fresher air. The lupines, birches and pines were lovely. It was easy to get to all of the sites on the Golden Circle from there. Would gladly go back.

- 9.6Scored 9.6ExceptionalRated exceptional· 511 reviewsgreat communication from staff access to house was through a key lock box they sent the code the day before. sheets left to explain everything you needed to know.. the cottage itself was brilliant we loved the bright open plan and the great view from the big windows. lots of small touches that made it feel homely. the shower was great and they had everything you need in the kitchen to make a meal. I would definitely stay here again next time I’m visiting Iceland.
