We loved the location as we could walk to the beach. The village was very nice and we enjoyed the swimming pool. The local shop was useful.
Lovely resort. No funfair! Nice promenade along lovely beach, with pleasant gardens alongside. Two Country parks within walking distance so ideal for those with young children. Ideal spot for walkers as along a coastal path and within easy reach of Bempton Cliffs, Flamborough Head, Scarborough and Bridlington.

Filey is perfect for young families, or like us, a holiday with our grown up kids, a lovely old fashioned seaside town with plenty of pubs some with live music, and good places to eat easy to get to Brid or Scarborough on bus or train.

Plenty of walks. 3 miles to Filey along the beach or clip top path. Turn the both way and you can walk to Reighton. Both paths can be muddy. Good area for dog walkers.
Beach is clean and save to play on. No facilities until you get to Filey.
Filey is a short drive away, good pub food. Very friendly people.
Filey has a large supermarket.

I love Filey as I’ve holidayed there from being a young girl, so for about 65 years so I may be biased. Filey has a magnificent stretch of sandy beach that’s dog friendly from 1st October to 31st March and the rest of the time the stretch in the middle does not allow dogs. There are lots of things to do especially for children with a park and playground for youngsters. It’s also a great place to stay and have access to many other towns and villages a short drive away.
The property was very modern and clean. Every bedroom had its own en-suite facilities which was fantastic. No need to share bathrooms. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we could have needed. The location was great and within walking distance to Filey shops and seafront and only a short drive to Scarborough. Although there is no off-street parking we never struggled to find parking spaces nearby for two cars. We will definitely return in warmer weather to make use of the lovely garden.
There was nothing to dislike about this property. Spotless on arrival. Fantastic correspondence from the host who couldn't of been more hospitable. Property was easy to find and location was ideal for the on-site facilities and getting into Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington.
I have recommended staying here to friends and family and will definitely be returning.
Just spent a wonderful couple of nights at the Rutland West Guest House. A spotlessly clean place throughout. Great breakfasts and an excellent host very welcoming helpful and friendly. Will recommend the guest House to all my friends and family and to anyone else looking for a b&b in Filey. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and look forward to visiting again.
Great location, very close to Filey and not very far from Scarborough. The static caravan was very well equipped, perfect for the whole family. The caravan park is lovely and we felt safe enough to let our children go around by themselves.
Dog park was really nice, to let doggie off to run around by herself and meet some new friends.
The hosts were brilliant at communication before my stay, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Athol House, where the guests' comfort was obviously their focus. Every little detail was considered , and the location was ideal for attending gigs at the Evron Centre during the Filey Folk Festival.
The location of the Hotel was perfect, close enough to the centre of Filey but far enough away to avoid excess noise. The hotel staff were great and served a delicious breakfast.
A very large, comfortable bed and a very good shower.
Good tea/coffee in the room and fresh milk available.
The location was ideal for exploring Filey a few minutes walk from the house to the promenade and town Centre. Chris our host was friendly and helpful and the accommodations was clean, well decorated and provided all we needed. Breakfast was brilliant.
Very good communication with owner. Very clean and lots of nice touches including welcome hamper and games etc to entertain the kids. Very convenient location to walk to beach and Filey Brigg as well as pubs and shops.
Excellent location with great views over the bay. Hotel looked like it had been recently refurbished & redecorated, everything looked very clean and new. Food in restaurant (dinner and breakfast) was very good.
Everything at The Southgate was excellent.
The following Night we stayed having booked through BOOKING .COM at The Grand Hotel Scarborough it was deplorable'

Great location in Filey by the shore. extremely safe location. Parking was easy to find near the front door of the hotel. Very easy to walk to town center even with my dodgy knees. lol
