Location, space and comfort.
Very attentative host and more than welcoming.
Angie provided replacement kettle and toaster as she felt they were not up to standard.
Her son was also very nice, kind and helpfull when I had an issue with my car. Angie offered to drive us anywhere we wanted to go.

If you want to tour the Thanet area you need a car.

It is a very pleasant place to be.
It is a very pleasant place to be. Nice characterful buildings and individual shops. The sandy beach looked clean, with safe swimming area. Plenty of good places to eat and stop for drinks. Beautiful seaside village, great restaurants, friendly vibes, amazing sandy beach, walking trails, great little gift & antique shops, very busy on the long weekend we were there, but it didn’t feel too crazy crowded, recommend visiting Broadstairs.

Really pretty, lovely clean sandy beaches. A small seaside town with only a small shopping area with small independent stores. Some nice restaurants. As with many seaside towns there are some closed down shops and more maintenance needed in places, a little jaded in parts. However the main town Beach, Viking Bay is one of the prettiest I’ve seen. Do not visit in the winter or when it is raining. The menu is very limited at weekends and if there is a function at the time of visit, you can forget about any available facilities in the hotel. Lovely coastal walk , went in winter I guess- march , but still a lovely walk and we were lucky with the bright days .lunch was lovely as was breakfast.
