Breakfast is continental basic but fresh. Area with fridge bread cereals. Gluten free cereal bread were on offer to. Bed very comfortable.

The town is very cosy, compact and full of sights.
The town is very cosy, compact and full of sights. You feel absolutely home, greeted by every passer by (and a doggy). Very clean, sea and rich greenery everywhere, perfect transport around, even a marvelous English (ESOL) school "Moving on center"! We enjoyed every minute there, though initially didn't plan staying there at all.

Beautiful little town right on the water.
Beautiful little town right on the water. Very walkable with great restaurants and coffee shops. Not much in the way of shops but we were ok with that. People were very friendly and looked like they love their town. Very close to Belfast so if you’re there for the city it was a great place to stay and rela without being in the hustle of the city. I would definitely go back and next time stay longer!

We have alot of kids mainly older teens and young adults who looked after our 2 very young children at home so me and my husband could have a night away to ourselves I would have loved to have stayed another few nights but we all have work and so do the older children ..... The reason we would have loved another few nights was so we could go exploring there are so many places to go walking around the edge of the water also the trains are very regular so you could have went into Belfast or somewhere half hour away then came back to Bangor to escape the noise of the city there are so many wonderful restaurants to choose from to eat at also ..... We went to a mexican place around the corner from where we stayed for lunch portion sizes were huge and it tasted amazing for dinner we went to a place called Oregano I think .... It's up near the train station and it has thee best spaghetti carbonara I've ever had in my life

Bangor is a traditional seaside town with all the amenities you would expect. The people were all very welcoming to us (English visitors). We hope to visit again in better weather. We had a bit of sunshine during our (March) trip but also rain and cold wind. There are also some other pretty little villages not far away down the coast and along nearby Strangford Lough. Travel to and from Belfast is easy by car or train.

Pleasant seaside town with attractive marina and a good range of shops. Parking seems to be easy (albeit I was there off season) and free. Some bits of town very run down, like many resorts, but mostly quite nice and has been improved. Very handy for city airport and transport links to Belfast are good.

I was only there for one night so it would be unfair to comment too much but it was friendly as I went for an evening walk. Like many seaside towns, its tired in places but there looks as if there is plenty of good about Bangor.
Cool and interesting property full of eclectic charm. Each room is individually furnished and has a different style.
Super friendly host and great staff.
Food was fantastic, great breakfast which is different to your usual fare. This place is a Bangor institution and is very popular with the locals for food, coffee and cakes.
Great value for money.
Lovely view of Ballyholme Bay.
If you are looking for something more interesting and personal than your typical hotel then this is worth considering.
The room was very comfortable; and well heated when we arrived; the bathroom was outstanding, large size in size, a separate tub & shower, a seat in the room, really nice! The WiFi was strong, along with several USB ports available and great TV options. Great breakfast options, delicious, served hot , freshly prepared. Paul our host was very inviting, great conversationalist, very helpful in educating us with how best to navigate around the country.
Awesome apartment in a very central location.
The apartment is a very modern and spacious and was very clean. Very welcoming people.
Many restaurants, shops nearby.
The beach is less than 5 minutes walk away and an excellent place for a walk. Fast response from the owner.
We really enjoyed our time in the apartment and Bangor and hope to be back.
Highly recommended.
Perfect location with gorgeous sea view, free parking and very central to bars and restaurants. Julie was really lovely, friendly and welcoming. The whole guesthouse has been recently renovated and our room was really lovely with a big, comfy bed! Astala Lodge felt more like a small hotel rather than a guesthouse which was important to us.
The hostess was amazing couldn't be more helpful. We were offered reservations to the lodges restaurant but we said we were going into bangor for dinner. This is when bar staff gave us recommendations of other places in bangor that we could go for dinner and they weren't wrong the place we went to was also lovely
This was a return visit and as before it was ideal for visiting family locally, more flexible than a hotel/B&B room and convenient for walking into Bangor town centre. Street parking meant we could park close by - most times right outside the house. I have booked again for another visit in November.
Felt like a boutique hotel. Super clean, comfy and the best coffee making facilities ever ! Wish my house was as lovely as this gem. Dont hesitate to book this place. The host was super welcoming and left us fresh milk and snacks on arrival. The beds are proper comfy too. I'd recommend to anyone.
Ann, the guest house owner, was fantastic. So accommodating and friendly. Our little one loved her first trip to Bangor.
The family room we had was spacious & spotless and had everything we needed for a 3 night stay.
Apartment was very spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated, it was a cheerful, unique space to spend a week in. And all the free coffee we could drink was such a lovely bonus! Philip was a great host.
Prime location in Bangor. Lovely hotel in lovely town. Excellent bar, amazing breakfast. Reception staff Ladies and Gentleman working at the bar and as night porter are wonderful. Truly hospitable place.
Gorgeous house, more spacious than expected and just so comfortable and homely.
All the little extra touches were just lovely too. Comfy beds, great pillows and squishy duvets. Spotlessly clean too.
Lots of space for a family of 6, the views were amazing. The balcony and seating area in the garden were lovely places to sit and take in the views of the sea and watch the boats!
we liked the location of the property as we were only a short walk away from the center of Bangor town center and a short drive from some of the tourist destinations.
The location near the marina was a bonus and parking was good but not too many spaces
There might be available to park on the street but not sure of it was free
Spacious, airy and comfortable accommodation in a great location for exploring County Down
Beds were very comfortable, well equipped and lovely personal welcome
