The location of Domaine Du Val De Cèze was great for me coming from the train station (it's just a few blocks behind the train station without needing to enter the train station). By foot, Domaine Du Val De Cèze is just 4-5 blocks from lots of shops. I easily went into town each day to explore. I enjoyed how peaceful their side of town is (but still being so close to everything).
Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn't open when I was there--because of winter season, I believe. But I was given multiple suggestions and directions to other options nearby. So just something to be aware of.
In Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche, Logis Hôtel Restaurant Bellevue is just 150 metres from the Ardèche River Banks where guests can go canoeing.

Very good location in the centre of the small town at the bottom of the Ardeche Gorge. Room was spacious, comfortable, quiet and stylish. Super-helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast good, restaurant good and covered parking for our motorcycles. Pool & hot-tub on site but we didn't use them due to poor weather.. Other restaurants/cafes nearby.
Château de Montcaud is located in Sabran, in the Provence region. The property is set in the former private residence of a silk trader and is surrounded by five hectares of grounds.

This is really a very nice hotel, where the staff were very friendly, the room was immaculate and the breakfast was superb. We could park our motorcycles in an open fronted garage which was great when packing up in the +30 degrees heat. The hotel is right in the town but very quiet at night. The town was small but right on a beautiful river with plenty of place for food and drink. We had a very good evening meal just a little way up from the hotel.
